Find international Byron Fuels Dealers:

Byron Originals Fuels are sold by leading hobby stores around the world who specialize in glow engines and glow engine applications. Byron Fuel is available in over 20 different countries. Some dealers may specialize more in airplanes than they do helicopters, boats or cars, so their stocks of these fuels may not include the entire range of fuels. The same is true with dealerships who may specialize in cars and do not stock a full range of airplane and helicopter fuel. But each of these retail stores can order the right fuel from us to meet your needs.

Byron Fuel can be located at Hobby Product Retailers who stock and sell glow fuel, glow engines, radio control helicopters, "gas" cars and R/C boats and radio control or control line model airplanes.

If you are located in an area in the U. S. where there are no Byron Fuel Dealers, we do offer our fuel on a factory-direct basis. However, due to the additional costs of shipping a case of fuel by UPS to an individual consumer, versus shipping several cases by truck to a dealer, you will usually find you can purchase Byron Fuel from a dealer at a much lower cost than purchasing directly from us. If you call us to order direct, don’t be surprised when we refer you to a local hobby products dealer. He can be a very important factor in helping guarantee that you have a great overall modeling experience. You can also order fuel from our online partners, A-Main Hobbies and Horizon Hobbies.

We do not offer a discounted price on fuel for club purchases and this is not because we don’t value your business. We have found that most dealers, when presented with the total potential fuel requirements of a club, will provide the club with an unbelievably low price on our fuel at a price much lower than our standard Factory Direct Prices. Many times, the price is lower than another fuel blender offers for a club purchase. So, give your local Byron Fuel Dealer a call before you buy any other brand.

We are occasionally requested to quote fuel in 55 gallon drums for a club or a frequent modeler. The theory is good. The group plans to make a bulk purchase and get together, as part of a group function, to tap off the fuel in their own bottles. The theory is that they will save money in doing so and of course it usually constitutes a social event for the club.

When we first made the decision to blend our own fuel, we decided that we would NOT provide fuel in bulk and we would only provide it in our own labeled bottles that were filled at our own facilities. Part of the reason is for liability purposes -- we do not want ANY model engine fuel placed in improper containers that may not be fit for storage of methanol and nitromethane or in containers that are not clearly marked with the important safety warnings and first aid instructions that may be needed in the case of an accident.

But perhaps the most important reason for not providing fuel in bulk is that this is an excellent time for contamination to occur. First of all, the used containers that are going to be filled with the bulk fuel may already be contaminated which, in turn, will contaminate the fuel. Secondly, we have seen where a club has tapped off part of their bulk supply and left the remaining fuel in the drum for tapping off later. When the fuel is tapped from the drum, the volume must be replaced by moisture-laden air. The remaining fuel then absorbs the moisture from the air and the fuel is contaminated with water -- one of the most serious contaminants of all. And when the contaminated fuel starts to cause problems in engine operation, the most likely one to blame is the manufacturer whose name is on the drum of fuel.

So, as long as we can provide excellent fuel at remarkably good prices, we will not make bulk fuel shipments to anyone, regardless of the size of their order and the temptations that may accompany accepting an order of that size.
